Find a Qualified Eye Surgeon for Your AquaFlow or the Visian ICL Corrective Eye Surgery

Medical technology research and trials have allowed STAAR® Surgical Company to make numerous breakthroughs in the field of corrective eye surgery. Throughout the world, the AquaFlow™ glaucoma implant, the Visian ICL,™ and STAAR Surgical Company's numerous cataract lens replacements options are transforming the way doctors treat vision loss, expanding patients’ options for maintaining their ocular health.

Because there have been many recent advancements in the treatment of debilitating diseases such as glaucoma and cataracts, as well as improvements in refractive surgery, it is important to seek a qualified eye surgeon who is up-to-date on the latest preferred corrective eye surgery procedures.

Visian ICL Surgeons

The Visian ICL (Implantable Collamer® Lens) and the Visian TICL™ (Toric Implantable Collamer Lens)* offer freedom from glasses and a high quality of vision, without altering the eye's natural lens. (Please note that the Visian TICL is not yet available in the United States.) Because our phakic IOLs are a more recent addition to the refractive surgery industry, not all surgeons are familiar with the Visian ICL or its implantation procedure.

Other doctors may be aware of STAAR Surgical Company's refractive products, but may not be qualified to perform the corrective eye surgery, so they will not recommend them to you, no matter how ideal of a candidate you may be. Since your treatment options are limited by the knowledge of the medical professional you choose, an informed, qualified eye surgeon is an invaluable resource.

Total number of Visian ICL physicians in the United States: 650

AquaFlow Surgeons

Many doctors may not be familiar with the numerous innovative products of STAAR Surgical Company, including the AquaFlow Collagen Glaucoma Drainage Device, the collagen implant used to relieve intraocular pressure. Other doctors may be aware of AquaFlow, but may not be trained to perform the corrective eye surgery.

Because your choices for treatment are limited by the knowledge of the surgeon you choose, an informed, qualified ophthalmologist is an invaluable resource. Use the search tool below to find an ophthalmologist qualified to perform the glaucoma treatment procedure.
